A few years back, 5280 Floors committed to sustainable operations and started looking for ways to do better. Our parameters were simple: Cause less harm and do more good.

Here are some of our key sustainability philosophies:

DIVERT FROM THE WASTE STREAM

  • We recycle cardboard, plastics, and metals whenever we can in attempts to reduce our landfill waste.

  • We reuse and re-purpose materials as often as possible. Check out our Colorado Flags made from flooring scraps and leftover stain! 

THE INDOOR ENVIRONMENT MATTERS, TOO

  • We use dust containment  to keep your home (and our project site!) as healthy as possible. 

  • Our crews keep the worksite tidy at the end of the day, we respect your home.

  • Ask us about our Zero-VOC and Low-VOC floor finish options.

SHARE THE SAVINGS

  • Our Colorado Flag project is a win-win-win. We reuse wood that could have gone to the landfill, we make sure our apprentices have the opportunity to earn extra hours in the workshop, and ALL PROFITS GO TO CHARITY.

  • Feature walls made of re-purposed wood create dynamic living spaces in your home or business. We stockpile leftovers in our warehouse to build one-of-a-kind home highlights that you can feel good about.
